Fascia and eave repairs in Perth

Rotten fascia boards and cracked or sagging eave linings, replaced and refinished. Your roofline is the first thing people see and the first thing the weather hits.

The work

What I do

Perth sun and winter rain are hard on timber fascias. Once the paint fails, water gets in, the timber softens and the gutter starts to pull away. Catching it early means replacing a section instead of the whole run.

Eave linings crack, stain and sag over time. I replace damaged sheets and fix the framing behind them so the new lining sits flat and stays put.

  • Fascia board replacement. Rotten or split fascia cut out and replaced, ready for gutters and paint.
  • Eave lining repair. Cracked, stained or sagging eave sheets replaced and joined neatly.
  • Framing behind the eaves. Loose or damaged battens refixed so the lining sits flat.
  • Finishing. Primed and painted to match, or left ready for your painter.

Questions

Common questions

How do I know if my fascia needs replacing?

Look for peeling paint, soft or crumbling timber and a gutter that dips or pulls away. If a screwdriver sinks into the timber easily, it’s time.

Can you replace just part of the fascia?

Often, yes. If the damage is in one area, I cut back to sound timber and join in a new section.

My house is older. Is there asbestos in the eaves?

Homes built before 1990 may have asbestos-containing eave sheets. I won’t cut or drill them until they’ve been checked, and if they contain asbestos, removal is done by a licensed removalist first.
